Advisor Essentials covers the first two levels of a four-level Advisor Training Program, designed for all faculty and staff who advise students as part of their job duties. Online training modules through WyoLearn allow advisors to work through training content at their own pace, while in-person trainings offered throughout the academic year will provide opportunities for more in-depth and individualized learning and professional development.  

The goal of the program is to align advising practices and share advising skills, strategies, and best practices across the UW campus. The program is focused on promoting consistent, high quality advising experiences for all students.
